UndosaTech is founded and led by John Uzo Ohanebo, a medical doctor (MBBS) with an MSc in Applied Neuroscience from the University of Dundee. He works on UndosaTech independently and is not currently affiliated with a clinical or research institution. To get in touch, see Get involved.
From a specific observation: that a large amount of the imaging data collected for vision-science and neuroscience research is used to answer the one question it was collected to answer, and then becomes practically unreachable. Recent open foundation models for retinal imaging have made historical cohorts more scientifically valuable than they were when collected — but there is no accessible route to reuse most of them.
The plan that became UndosaTech began as a reading and mapping exercise of that gap.
The platform is built and running: federated training, governed access workflows, disclosure control, and a tamper-evident audit trail (see Trust & Security). Incorporation, security certification, and first institutional partnerships are in process.
