Terms of use

1. Who these terms are between

These terms govern your use of undosatech.com and, where you hold an account, the UndosaTech platform at app.undosatech.com ("the platform"), operated from Dundee, Scotland ("UndosaTech", "we"). By using the site or platform you accept these terms.

2. Pre-launch status

The platform is pre-launch software made available for evaluation, piloting, and research collaboration. It is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn without notice. It is not a medical device and its outputs must not be used for clinical decision-making, diagnosis, or treatment.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

• Accounts are intended for researchers and staff acting on behalf of research or healthcare institutions. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must not attempt to re-identify individuals from any data, output, or metadata on the platform. This is a condition of access, not merely a technical control.
• You must not probe, disable, or circumvent security or disclosure-control mechanisms (including rate limits, output suppression, and privacy budgets), except under an agreed responsible-disclosure process (see the Trust & Security page).
• Use of any dataset accessed through the platform is additionally governed by the data use agreement and ethics approvals attached to that dataset. Where those terms conflict with these, the dataset-specific terms prevail.

4. Institutional data

Institutions contributing data or metadata retain ownership and data-controller responsibility for their material. Platform use does not transfer any rights in contributed data to UndosaTech beyond those set out in the applicable data processing and data use agreements.

5. Intellectual property

The site, platform software, and their content are owned by UndosaTech or its licensors. Research outputs you lawfully generate using the platform are yours, subject to the terms of the datasets used to produce them.

6. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, and given the free pre-launch nature of the service, UndosaTech's aggregate liability arising from use of the site or platform is limited to £100, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of research opportunity. Pilot institutions with signed agreements have the liability terms of those agreements instead.

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be dated at the top of this page and, for account holders, notified in the platform. These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
